Alex and I had chatted about her wedding a few months prior to planning this session and she mentioned how she was planning her wedding in the Vancouver area but was currently living with her fiancé, Luke, in Penticton. I absolutely love the colours and landscape of the Okanagan and suggested we plan a session that Summer when I was up there for another client. With the help of Love Her Wild providing a beautiful pastel coloured bouquet and Hannah Tikkanen creating a custom cream tulle gown with huge fluffy sleeves for Alex, the vibes for their romantic Penticton engagement session were set.
When I met with Luke and Alex that evening, I knew their session would be something truly special. From the moment we began, their session was filled with deep laughs, genuine moments of connection, and an ethereal atmosphere that perfectly matched the whimsical, romantic vibe we were going for.
Set against the backdrop of a stunning Okanagan sunset, with temperatures soaring close to 40°C, these two did not let the heat affect them. They kicked off their shoes and we made the most of their session. The sun, low on the horizon, cast the most beautiful soft light, creating an almost dream-like aura around the couple. The warmth of the evening only added to the intimate mood, it truly was a magical night.
